Snow in Skagit Valley

Snow in Mount Vernon, what a shocker. No really, if more than an inch of snow lands here in Mount Vernon, everyone goes crazy. Some people drive down the road at about 5 miles an hour with snow still all over their car in what I call "Old Lady Position". You know..... grab the steering wheel, rest your chin on the steering wheel, squint your eyes real tight, and finally blame everyone you hit because you couldn't see them or couldn't stop. Others, mostly with 4 wheel drive go blazing down the road going faster than usual, thinking their 4 wheel/all wheel drive makes them invincible. This only works when accelerating not when braking. But in reallity most just stay home and wait for this horrid cold thing to melt.

Now that I have scoffed fully at most people I know I need to mention. I speak arrogantly because I grew up in Chicago where tons of snow is a regular accurance so we chicagoans are used to the snow. BUT I must say that I never actually drove while in Chicago so I don't think I actually count as a pro driver and probably fall in one of the first two categories I listed above.

Anyways, after arriving at 6:30 and practicing with the worship team shortly after for 8:15 service Christian cancelled first service, less than 20 actually showed up. So I got to come home with a few of the worship team members and have fresh made coffee cake and enjoy my kids and wife, this is very rare on Sunday mornings. Here are some fun pictures from the morning. I hope you enjoy............whoever you are. Sometimes I feel like I am talking to myself.
